What are we and what do we do?

Construction and Home Inspections to put it simply. We offer all of the services a big construction company has without the not-so-big pricing. Michael, the owner of MK & Associates, Inc. has been in the construction industry for over 25 years now and has built numerous projects around the Green Bay area.

Since he knows construction so well, home inspection is right up his alley. Inspecting 1000's of homes for the last 12 years has put many new home owners at ease, taking a lot of the unknowns out of purchasing a home.

Lastly, MK & Associates, Inc. also offer what we called "home services". These are the smaller projects that some people would call a handyman to complete. We have established working relationships with qualified, trusted sub-contractors. Why scour the internet or phone book to call some stranger or business you aren't familiar with to come into your home and perform work you may or may not know anything about? Let us manage the project from start to finish with our trusted contractors. We provide a source of security between you, the owner and contractor(s) performing the work. Now you have an advocate on your side overseeing work to proper completion and reviewing all final invoicing.

We know your thinking, why would I pay more for your services? You don't, or it is very minimal compared to hiring contractors on your own. With MK & Associates, Inc. , you're getting third party protection, advice, and security that contractors are do their job efficiently and properly. This all means less time and stress for you. So many times we hear owners say how they have had the worst experience or got taken by a contractor, and best of all, "it cost way more in the end". Overview

We are all looking for the best deal or least expensive product. With the internet and smart phones it has become easier to do such. Technology has changed the construction industry as well, but you still need to lay that brick one at a time, nail that stud in place, lay one shingle down at a time. Such things like building products and estimating software has changed and will change over the years but you can't take away the process of building.

This is where a construction manager can efficiently oversee the process and maintain a smooth operation. Ensuring that you as the owner are getting what was estimated, not getting over charged or less product/service for the price.

Someone once said, "you get what you pay for". In most cases this is true. You can buy a used car for $500 or one for $1500. We would like to think the later would be in better shape and your most likely going to have to stick money into the $500 car. The point we are trying to make is don't set so much emphasis on the bottom line price. You need to know everything that is involved. Are you going to need to "stick more money into it"?
